togel hongkong hari ini Tournaments at English Harbour

Tournaments for slots or online poker are a dime a dozen. They’re all over the place and if you visit any online casino you will find them. If you look for gambling news online, you will find countless mentions of slot tournaments and poker tournaments. They saturate the market like Lady Gaga or Obama. togel hongkong hari ini tournaments, however, are a little more difficult to find. At times, it requires sleuth-like skills that would make Sherlock Holmes (either the one from the book or the much different character in the recent movie) proud. Luckily, I found some good blackjack tournaments at English Harbour Casino.

Every week, there are two different blackjack tournaments going on at English Harbour, with one taking place during the week and the other being held on the weekends. Both tournaments are played on the game called Blackjack Vegas Strip…In case, you’re wondering, it’s not “strip” as in “remove clothing.” Just thought I’d let you know.

From Monday through Thursday, English Harbour Casino holds the Head2Head online blackjack tournament. In this tournament, you play for the pot, which means there is more money at stake the more people join the tournament and play. The entry fee is only $5 and there are unlimited rebuys. The prize money is split among the top 20 players in the tournament.

The Weekend Blackjack Classic, which is played Friday through Sunday, is where the big money is found. Here you are playing for a prize pool of $5,000. Again, the prizes are awarded to the top 20 players in the tournament. The top winner earns a very respectable $2500. The Weekend Blackjack Classic tournament has an entry fee of $10 and has unlimited rebuys.

It should be noted, for those new to blackjack tournaments, that your strategy should be a little different in tournament play. The reason for that is when playing a normal game of blackjack, whether it’s online or at a brick and mortar casino, the other players don’t matter. You only care about your cards in relation to the dealer’s cards. With online blackjack tournaments, however, the other players matter, because in order to win a prize you need to have more points than the other players. For that reason, many experts suggest playing more aggressively in your betting, which could include doubling down more often and betting larger amounts than normal.

To play in either of the blackjack tournaments, visit English Harbour Casino today.

A Word on Free Blackjack

There is one thing offered by online casinos that many beginners take for granted and that’s the free blackjack games. Many people don’t give it a second thought, but the free games are one of the biggest advantages of playing online. It would be foolish for a new player to not take advantage of those deals.

If you’re new to blackjack, you probably don’t know a whole lot about the game. Maybe that’s why you’re here on OnlineBlackjack.org (and thanks for that). Even if you read everything I have written on the subject (and if so, thanks a lot), there is no substitute for experience.

Memorizing the blackjack basic strategy chart is a great idea and something I encourage. It’s wise to read up on strategy so you will know not only what to do in a situation, but also why you should do that. For one thing, strategy is easier to remember if you know the reasons behind it. However, remembering what to do is more difficult in the middle of a game. That is why practice and game experience are so important. Blackjack is a skill and like any skill, you get better at it the more you practice.

So it’s easy: The more you play blackjack, the better you will get at it. The problem is, if you are a bad player in the beginning, that could cost you a lot of money in the casino. That is why the free blackjack games are so important. Even if you plan to do all of your gambling in brick and mortar casinos rather than online, playing free online blackjack is a good way to practice the game and get used to playing using the proper strategy without having to worry about losing money. In fact, even though I know blackjack strategy inside and out, I often play the free online games because I want to play even at times when I don’t feel like gambling.

The casinos, of course, don’t offer free blackjack games solely out of the kindness of their hearts (though I would like to think that’s part of it). They are hoping that you will enjoy playing it for free so much that you will then play at their casino for real money. Often this is the case. The fact remains that free blackjack games are an incredibly helpful tool and the best way to iron down your strategy before you put any real money on the line.

Review of The Man With the $100,000 Breasts

Michael Konik has written numerous articles about the colorful characters and events that have shaped Las Vegas and other gambling scenes. Early in 1999, Huntington Press published a collection of his work titled, The Man With the $100,000 Breasts. Late that year it was reprinted as a paperback with the same name by Broadway Books.

The book contains a total of 26 stories broken up into six sections. The sectional division isn’t really very important, it’s merely there to break up the book a bit. Many of these stories originally appeared in other magazines such as Sport, Maxim, and Cigar Aficionado. They’re all expertly written and provide some interesting insight into their own special world. Some are better than others, but I didn’t feel there were any true duds.

Some of the stories, like those about poker legend Johnny Slot Gacor Moss, the meteoric rise and fall of craps legend Archie Karas, and the history of race handicapping legend Andrew Beyer are fairly well known, often even outside of gambling circles. Others, like the stories of the “Cold-Deck Crew” or SCA Promotions are likely not nearly as widely known. There is something here for just about anyone with a sports, gambling, or Las Vegas interest.

I’ve read a lot of books that are collections of gambling stories, and The Man With the $100,000 Breasts is one of the better ones. While I wouldn’t rate it quite as highly as, say, Alvarez’ The Biggest Game in Town, it does score well above the median. It’s well worth reading by those with an interest in the topic, but I recommend purchasing the paperback version.

Capsule:

Yet another collection of gambling stories, The Man With the $100,000 Breasts ranks above average in this category.

Review of Serious Poker

At the time I write this, Dan Kimberg is probably my biggest competitor for the title of “Most Influential Gambling Book Reviewer on the Internet”. Kimberg’s web site, at http://www.kimberg.com/poker/, contains a large collection of poker book reviews written by many people, including the author of Serious Poker. One can assume from this that Kimberg has spent some time thinking about poker. But, as I’m well aware, there is a difference between critiquing someone else’s work, and coming up with enough original thoughts of one’s own to fill a book. The question is, are the thoughts that he transcribes in these pages worth reading?

The beginning of Serious Poker is obviously aimed at relative novices. Kimberg first addresses the rules to commonly spread poker games, and provides a general guide to getting around a public card room. In my opinion, navigating a poker room for the first time can be a daunting experience, and I’m glad to see any advice that beginners might read which may help alleviate that. He then moves on to basic strategy advice. The information he presents here is usually sound as far as it goes, but it’s really too limited to be useful as a general-purpose strategy guide. I could raise some objections with some of his phrases, but they would be pretty trivial objections at this level of detail. Of course, a complete novice may find some of this information useful, but even then a more thorough strategy guide, such as Harroch and Krieger’s Poker for Dummies or Lee Jones’ Winning Low Limit Hold’em will serve the reader better.

Kimberg then talks about “Taking Poker Seriously”, where he discusses issues like luck, variance, game selection, self reflection, and how to study the game. I believe this to be his best section. Some of these ideas are very important, and while most of this information has been discussed elsewhere in the poker literature, very little of that has been aimed at beginning players. There are places where Kimberg’s irrelevant footnotes get a bit distracting, a phenomenon that’s not totally unexpected in a self-published book, but the writing is generally clear. The author is quite adept at getting his message across.

The next section covers miscellaneous topics, including tournaments, cheating and angle shooting, tells, and more. Again, my biggest criticism, with this section and with the book in general, is that these topics are all covered rather superficially. For example, Kimberg laments that while at least one good book and many articles talk about detecting tells in others, there’s very little in print about how someone could go about limiting tells in one’s own play. Kimberg provides five suggestions on this topic, but I can easily think of several more, plus there’s little discussion on techniques for actually practicing the methods that do get mentioned. I’m just not sure that the information that is contained in these pages is likely to really assist anyone.

Toward the end of the book, the author provides some more detailed mathematics, including an explanation of poker simulations, a brief introduction to combinatorics, and bankroll calculations. For those who don’t understand the basic probability and statistics terminology and methods used in many advanced poker books, this is a pretty good introduction. Also, several good formulae are presented here, including risk of ruin, fluctuation calculations, and suggestions on how to determine what constitutes a sufficient bankroll for various games. The book concludes with a brief section with some recommended reading, a list of the author’s on-line resources, and a print copy of the author’s on-line poker glossary. The glossary is likely to be helpful to the inexperienced poker player, even though I disagree with the author’s definitions of some of the terms.

This book contains some good suggestions, but because a lot of the topics are covered rather narrowly, there are few sections that are likely to appeal to even the intermediate poker player. Much of the book reads like an expanded version of Malmuth and Loomis’ Fundamentals of Poker, so if that sounds appealing, then this book is probably worth reading. For those intermediate players who want to ease in to understanding poker math or want to receive a pep talk on not relying on luck, parts of this book can be helpful. In this case, I’d suggest starting at Chapter 8 and proceeding from there. Advanced students of the game can safely pass up Serious Poker.

Finally, I’d like to say that I do admire Dan Kimberg as a reviewer who has “put his money where his mouth is” and written (and published!) a book himself, which is no mean feat. Perhaps some day, I’ll take the plunge myself, and Mr. Kimberg will have the opportunity to be equally critical of my thoughts.

Capsule:

Serious Poker contains mostly good suggestions about approaching the game, but many topics are covered in a very superficial manner, and almost every topic has been covered in some depth in other works. Therefore, while beginners are likely to obtain worthwhile information from this work, and there will probably be some parts that will appeal to intermediate students, more advanced poker players and those who are fairly broadly read on the topic of poker can almost certainly afford to pass this one up. There are some good ideas here, but overall I’d have to say I was only moderately satisfied with Serious Poker.

MagicOasis.com Opens its Singapore Online Casino Doors

Red flags have been raised on our message boards concerning this casino. See the boards for additional information. – Editor)

Online casino operator World E-Gaming has just launched it latest casino, MagicOasis.com.

The casino features an Arabian Nights theme, and offers players 102 different games ranging from Blackjack and Video Poker to Pai Gow and Let ’em Ride.

New players are eligible for a $20 or 20 percent sign-up bonus. They can also join the V.I.P. club and receive free monthly bonus chips, a personal gaming advisor, and gifts and travel certificates as rewards for frequent play.

Magic Oasis says they paid out 98.6% on slot machines during its initial Beta testing phase; these figures were audited by SafeBet.org.

Casino pitboss Robert Miller said, ”Magic Oasis.com is destined to be a major force in the online gaming arena within 6 months.” Among the company’s marketing plans is an affiliate program, called Magic Cash, that pays $75 to any web site owner that sends players to Magic Oasis. ”We’re hoping to sign up 5000 affiliates by the end of the year,” added Miller.

Magic Oasis was certified by the Electronic Gaming Commission last month; the casino runs on Realtime Gaming software. World E-Gaming is a

InterCasino’s Progressive Jackpot Tops $200k

InterCasino has announced that its progressive Caribbean Poker jackpot has reached an amazing $207,000.

InterCasino’s Progressive Caribbean Poker game features a multi-player progressive jackpot that starts at $100,000 and grows with every bet.

Players don’t need a Royal Flush to walk away with some cash, however. A straight flush wins 10% of the jackpot, which is at least $20,000. Other hands also pay out: a $1 bonus bet wins $1,000 on Four of a Kind, $100 on a Full House and $50 on a Flush.

InterCasino’s Caribbean Poker jackpot has already paid out this year in a big way. Player ‘Creed’ won $235,661 in March.

InterCasino is also offering match deposit Singapore Online Casino bonuses to all players during the month of May. Players who deposit $80 or more will be automatically credited with an additional $80.

Playing Craps Online

The first thing people need to remember when they’re playing craps online is to stick to line bets (Pass, Don’t Pass, Come, and Don’t Come) and take the maximum allowed odds. That will cut down on the house edge as much as possible. All other bets carry much higher house edges, especially the proposition bets.

The more a player can bet on the odds, the lower the overall house edge – regardless of whether they are at an online- or real casino.

That said, the best odds for the Pass and Come bets are at casinos using Boss Media software, where players can take 3x odds after any point. This is surprising, because Boss Media is usually rather stingy with their game rules.

The following table shows the odds allowed by various brands of online casino software and the combined house edge:

Taking Odds Online

Software Odds House Edge

Boss Media 3x 0.4714%

Realtime Gaming 2x-2.5x 0.5720%

Unified Gaming 2x 0.6061%

CryptoLogic 2x 0.6061%

Microgaming 1x 0.8485%

Interestingly, Realtime Gaming allows full double odds, in other words 2.5x odds on points of 6 and 8, and 2x on all other points.

In craps, the player should be allowed to lay odds relative to the amount they can win. For example, if the casino normally allows 2x odds and the point is a 4, the player should be able to lay 4x the Don’t Pass bet on the odds. In this example, taking odds on a 4 pays 1 to 2, for winnings of 2x the Don’t Pass bet.

The only major software brand to get this rule correct is Unified Gaming. Most others only allow the player to lay odds in the same proportion as taking odds. Realtime Gaming has the curious exception of allowing the player to lay 2.4x odds on the 6 and 8, and 2x on all other points. It seems they started to get the rule right with the 6 and 8, but forgot to follow up on the other numbers.

After the odds are calculated, there is a tie between Boss Media and Unified Gaming for the best software for the Don’t Pass/Don’t Come bettor. The following table shows the specifics:

Laying Odds Online

Software Odds House Edge

Boss Media 3x 0.4545%

Realtime Gaming 2x-2.4x 0.5579%

Unified Gaming 2.4x-4x 0.4545%

CryptoLogic 2x 0.5844%

Microgaming 1x 0.8182%

Another nice thing about Boss Media is that it only charges 5% commission on Buy and Lay bets if the player wins. This substantially cuts down the house edge, especially on the following Buy bets:

Boss Media house edge on Buy and Lay bets

Points Buy Lay

4,10 1.67% 1.67%

5,9 2.00% 2.00%

6,8 2.27% 2.27%

Unfortunately, none of the major online casino software manufacturers fully understand conventional gambling rules as played in the United States. Only some smaller companies who have retained my consulting services have ironed out their bugs to make their rules conform to U.S. standards.

In conclusion, Boss Media wins the prize for the best online craps. But this is the only game where it wins such a prize. An honorary mention also goes to Unified Gaming for laying odds correctly.

Best-Paying Agen Joker123 Slots on the Net

Where are the highest paying slot machines on the Internet? Let’s look at which online slot machines have the best percentage return and which offer the biggest jackpots.

Best Percentage Return

In Las Vegas and other regulated gaming jurisdictions, casinos are required to meet a minimum payback percentage on their slot machines. Not so in the unregulated world of Internet gambling! Online casinos can set the payback to just about anything they choose.

Luckily for players, some online casinos have turned to major accounting firms to verify the payback of their machines. Most of these fall in the 92 to 96% range. Not bad, but not as good as the 97 or 98% machines available in Las Vegas (at Harrah’s on the Strip, for example).

Here are few of the better-paying slot machines I have found on the Internet. The list only includes casinos that have provided third-party reviews of their payback percentages up to the end of April 2001.

Jackpot City, 103.55%

Liberty Casino, 98.72%

Casino On Net, 96.53%

Yellow Cab Casino, 95.43%

Casino Fortune, 95.38%

King Neptune’s Casino, 95.37%

Caribbean Gold, 95.27%

First Web Casino, 95.14%

Silver Dollar Casino, 95.06%

River Belle Casino, 95.02%

One caveat: Even if a casino’s slot machines have paid out well in the past it is not a guarantee that they will pay out well in the future. For example, the high payout percentages for Jackpot City and Liberty Casino probably indicate that there was a big winner during the review period, which skewed the results. It does not mean that the machines are set to always pay out at that rate.

Biggest Progressive Jackpots

For those who prefer a big jackpot over a big Agen Joker123 payback percentage, the two biggest progressive slot machines on the Internet are CashSplash and Rags to Riches.

CashSplash has long been the reigning king of online slot jackpots. The machine paid out over $1.5 million to 48 winners in April alone! One recent winner was Debra R who won $109,674.49 at All Slots Casino on Monday 14 May.

CashSplash is available at dozens of online casinos that use Microgaming software, including Colosseum Casino, Gaming Club, Lucky Nugget and Miami Beach Casino.

Rags to Riches is the latest high roller, huge payout progressive slot machine. The progressive jackpot on this $1 slot machine starts at a whopping US$100,000! Hit three Rags to Riches symbols and you will have a chance to spin the bonus wheel where the progressive prize resides.

Rags to Riches is available at InterCasino, Kiwi Casino, The Sands of the Caribbean and other casinos that use CryptoLogic software.

Another progressive slot machine is The Dazzler. I know of people who have won $50,000 or more on The Dazzler. Unfortunately, at least one winner says he had difficulty collecting his prize and had to wait months for his payment to arrive. My recommendation is that you stick with Rags to Riches and CashSplash. But if you want to play The Dazzler, it’s available at Winward Casino and other casinos that use Unified Gaming Software.

Finally, here’s a link to a page where you can view all the biggest progressive jackpots on the Internet at any moment in time.

New York could become gambler’s paradise

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) Five years from now, New Yorkers may be able to crisscross the state, stopping at one gambling facility after another.

The future driving tour could begin at a new racetrack in far western New York, in the Niagara County town of Porter, where bettors could play the ponies or use debit cards on slotlike machines known as video lottery terminals, or VLTs.

The next stop could be the booming Seneca  Pengeluaran HK casino in Niagara Falls, followed by a short jaunt to downtown Buffalo to visit the Seneca’s other casino.

Or, those who prefer the country could beat it down to the Senecas’ third casino on their nearby Cattaraugus reservation.

The next stop could be in Batavia, 35 miles east of Buffalo, at its refurbished racetrack and VLT operation, followed by Hamburg’s Buffalo Raceway and casino-like gambling rooms.

An hour of so from Batavia, gamblers can make a quick stop at another VLT-filled racetrack southeast of Rochester.

If the horses start to get tiring, travelers can head east on the highway to Verona, near Utica, to Turning Stone, the Oneidas’ ever-expanding Las Vegas-style casino. Nearby is another track with 500 or so VLTs.

Ninety miles east is Saratoga Race Course, the continent’s oldest racetrack, and more slotlike machines. Drivers could then take their winnings down the Thruway to two more Indian-owned casinos in the Catskills.

The final destinations downstate could be Yonkers Racetrack at its 2,500 VLTs in Westchester and New York City’s two racetracks, Aqueduct and Belmont Park.

This may sound far-fetched. But plans are underway to make all this and maybe more happen by 2006.

The Seneca Nation of Indians and its bold plan to build three new casinos in western New York may serve as an important catalyst for New York state to give Nevada a run for the nation’s betting dollars.

Whether such a gambling expansion happens could become clearer in the months ahead, if the Senecas get approval from state and federal agencies to enter the casino business.

”I think New York is largely untapped,” said Graham Orr, chief financial officer of Magna Entertainment. ”We’re hopeful over time, and with a little more liberal-leaning society, to expand and enhance wagering opportunities in New York.”

The Toronto-area company, which recently won a contract to buy the lucrative New York City Off-Track Betting Corp., wants to build Porter’s racetrack and betting hub.

No matter what the future holds, one thing is certain: New York is already a huge gambling market.

The state contains 14,300 lottery retailers, 3,100 Quick Draw outlets the keno-like lottery game critics call ”video crack” soon-to-be 10 racetracks and 229 Off Track Betting outlets, where gamblers can drop money on races across the country.

The Oneida’s Turning Stone, one of the nation’s busiest Indian casinos, attracted 3.5 million visitors last year. The 90,000-square-foot gambling facility consists of 1,750 video lottery terminals, 120 table games and an 1,100-seat bingo hall, as well as seven restaurants, three golf courses, an 800-seat showroom and a 285-room hotel.

”Gambling in New York is a major business,” said Michael Hoblock, chairman of the state Racing and Wagering Board, which regulates racetracks, charities and other gambling venues.

Neither the Legislature nor the Pataki administration, which is increasingly looking to Indian gambling, has a long-term, comprehensive plan when it comes to gambling.

That’s because both state law and the state constitution forbid casino gambling and racetrack slotlike games. Technically, only specific games, such as bingo by nonprofit groups, are allowed, Hoblock said.

He predicts more Indian casinos in coming years but doubts legislators will ever try to amend the constitution to allow non-Indian ones.

”Every poll says people may say they favor casinos, but when asked if they approve one close by, they say no,” Hoblock said.

The state’s horse racing industry, which employs about 40,000 people, doesn’t welcome the competition.

”I think we have a few tracks in the state that are on the brink of collapse, and more in-state competition would probably push them over the bring,” said Dick Powell, a racing industry consultant.

Those in the racing industry want permission to put VLTs on tracks. Racing insiders believe the Seneca deal will help their lobbying campaign in bringing the controversial devices, which look and sound like slots but use debit cards instead of money.

”I’d rather not see casinos at all,” said state Sen. Dale Volker, R-Depew, who nonetheless voted for the Seneca casino deal in June. ”But this is the real world, and everybody is going to casinos, including my priest.”

Slot Super/System

Along with David Sklansky’s Hold’em Poker, Doyle Brunson’s Super/System, originally titled How I Made Over $1,000,000 Playing Poker, heralds the beginning of what I would call the “modern age” of poker. More than anything else, I believe that the rise in poker’s popularity over the last 25 years is due to the amount of good information that has been made available about the game, and Super/System is preeminent among the information sources that brought about this surge in popularity. However, it may be asked, how does this classic stand up more than 20 years after its initial publication?

The book begins with some introductory remarks, including an abbreviated history of Brunson’s poker career, before the author launches into some general strategies for winning poker. This is all stuff that today’s well-read poker player will take for granted: keep emotional control, carefully watch the competition, play patiently, etc., but it’s pretty much all good advice. I can’t say I completely agree with Brunson’s feelings about ESP, but the information he provides isn’t damaging.

Then, for the bulk of the book, Brunson has someone he considers to be a true expert in a given poker game lay out their advice on how to be a consistent winner. He assigned draw poker to Mike Caro, 7 card stud to Chip Reese, the various forms of lowball to Joey Hawthorne, 7 card stud high-low split to David Sklansky, and Bobby Baldwin and Brunson himself tackle limit and no-limit Texas hold’em, respectively. This is as solid a lineup of poker players as has ever been assembled. The book concludes with a glossary and a compendium of Slot poker numbers and charts compiled by Mike Caro, explaining the various possibilities of various occurrences in the games covered in the book.

Many of the games considered in Super/System have undergone considerable change since the book was written. When the book was published limit Hold’em structures were quite different than one would typically find today. It would be very difficult to find a draw high game spread in a card room today, and even lowball, once the core of the California poker scene, is rarely spread any more. This limits the applicability of some of the advice given in the book. The section that’s probably still most relevant is Brunson’s own no-limit advice, and I believe this book is still required reading to play this game at the highest level.

Don’t get me wrong, this book is filled with good advice. However, much of it is about games that aren’t played any more or are played differently these days. Along with structural changes, the players in these games have changed themselves, and winning strategies have had to adjust to keep up. I believe I can name a better single book on each one of the games covered in Super/System, but by no means does that mean it isn’t worth reading. I also don’t believe there were any books available that were better references on any of the games covered at the time Super/System was originally published. Moreover, even if the strategies presented in this book were completely outdated, which they’re not, the book would still be entertaining to read and have considerable historical value. I still believe that all serious poker players should have this book in their libraries. It’s just no longer the bible that it once was.

Capsule:

In much the same way that Beat the Dealer is associated with the game of blackjack, Super System is a poker classic that has more historical benefit these days than value as a poker text book. Many of the games it mentions aren’t played or play very differently in card rooms today. Nonetheless, there are still many real gems of advice in its pages, especially regarding No-Limit Holdem, and the book is well worth reading. These days the book is more revered than it probably ought to be, but it will continue to belong on the shelf of every serious poker library for some time to come.

Gambling ligaz888 Online: What about bonuses?

While land-based casinos offer players free meals, drinks, and rooms in exchange for their play, online casinos tend to offer the only readily available substitute they have: cold hard cash. Almost every online casino offers a sign-up bonus, where they match your initial deposit with extra chips. These bonuses can be quite lucrative in some cases. Many sites also have ongoing promotions where they offer extra chips.

If you play where a bonus is involved, be sure to read the fine print, the so-called “terms and conditions”. Sometimes you’ll have to email the casino to receive the bonus. Sometimes you’ll have to play through your deposit one or more times before you are eligible for the bonus. And, in almost every case, you’ll have to wager several times the amount of the deposit and bonus before you’ll be allowed to withdraw the ligaz888 money.

However, in every case I’ve seen, a smart player can expect to make a nice profit from the bonus. For example, consider a MicroGaming casino with a “Buy $50, Get $50 Free” bonus offer. Let’s say the bonus requires you to wager the deposit and bonus 5 times before cashing out. So, you purchase $50, they add another $50, you start with a balance of $100. You’ll need to wager at least $500 before cashing out. For example, you could play Blackjack at $10 per hand for 50 hands. At a MicroGaming site, using the correct basic strategy yields a tiny house edge of only 0.12%. So, for your $500 in action, the expected loss is only $500 X 0.0012, or 60 cents. The casino has paid you $50 to take 60 cents in expected risk. Not a bad deal!

Of course, that 60 cents is the average loss for a perfect basic strategy player. Your luck will determine what happens with your bankroll. You may lose the $100, or you may win $100 or more. The only sure thing is that you won’t lose exactly 60 cents. But, in the long run, you’ll get to keep about $49.40 of that $50 bonus.

However… Bonuses have become the bane of the online casino industry, with some players being categorized by the casinos as ‘bonus abusers’. In most cases, these are players who meet the terms and conditions to the letter, cash-out the bonus, and are never seen again. The reputable online sites know that some players will play strictly for the bonus, cash-out, and never come back to play again. That’s just the cost of attracting new players to their casino. However, some of the more questionable sites will use any excuse they can to avoid paying a player who appears to be there for the bonus only.

Make absolutely sure you abide by all of the terms they mention. And, my recommendation is to play much more than the minimum required action to cash out the bonus. Remember, over the long run, your edge is huge. Sure, you may run into a run of bad cards and lose that $100. But, you will also occasionally run into a good run of cards and turn it into $1000 (granted, probably not with flat $10 bets). If I were playing our example bonus, I’d probably play at least $2000 in bets, and probably $3000 or $4000. Let’s take a look: For $4000 in bets, we still win an average of $46.20 of our $50 bonus. And, we’re a lot less likely to have the casino ‘delay’ our payout with a variety of excuses.

Of couse, if you stick to the cream of the crop of online casinos, these guys are going to pay you quickly anyway. They understand that if a player meets the conditions, the bonus is theirs, fair and square. If they pay promptly, maybe they’ll gain a player for a long time.

Bonuses are one of the last great giveaways you’re likely to see. I don’t think the large bonuses available today will still be here a few years from now. They’re just too expensive for the casinos. So, get ’em while you can.

Next, we’ll wrap it up with an objective (I hope) summary

VIPSportsZone Sportsbook and UFACasino

Great design…check. Wide selection…check. Effective security…check.

As I went down my “Quality Site” checklist, I was pleasantly surprised at what I found. While I’m always more than a little bit skeptical whenever I venture into the online sportsbetting arena, I’m never more so than when I come across a recently launched site. However, despite my cynical nature I couldn’t help but be impressed with VIPSportsZone.

Designed to suit the needs of all types of gamblers, VIPSportsZone is a comprehensive sportsbetting/casino venue where even the most technologically challenged player can navigate with ease. The homepage is both inviting and visually appealing with all of the pertinent information positioned prominently so bettors don’t have to scour the site to get to the goodies. Features include a continuous sports news feed, links to live lines, scores from past games, various bonus offerings and even links to their parlay payout percentages.

The betting options in the sportsbook incorporate a very wide range of international sporting events including football, baseball, basketball, boxing, tennis, golf, motor sports, European football, and rugby—to name a few. Betting types are also varied and include everything from straight bets to a full array of mixed-sport parlays, teasers, if UFA bets, round robins and futures. Limits typically run high—up to $2,000 (depending on the event) with the ability to go higher with approval. In addition, limits are also routinely raised during playoffs and can easily accommodate even the highest bankroll.

Getting started with your own account is quick and painless. Simply sign up right from the homepage by entering your personal information (name, address, etc.,) fund your account (options include credit card, NeTeller, wire transfer, Western Union) and you’re ready to go. To bet, simply click on the pull-down menu, choose your wager type, the amount, the event and click “Place Bet.” Voila! You’ve got action.

While clearly sportsbetting is the dominant feature for this site, there is also a well-equipped casino available in both JAVA and downloadable format. All of the perennial favorites are there, such as Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Poker and Slots and in general it’s not a bad place to play in between games or while waiting on the outcome of your last bet. Best of all, since a single account grants you access to both the sportsbook and the casino, there’s no hassle involving different logins and passwords—just click on the casino link and you’re ready to go.
